Crack cocaine is a variation of cocaine which is mixed with baking soda and water then heated to form rocks. After the mixing, heating and cooling, it is then used for smoking. Crack cocaine is classified as one of, if not the most illicit and addictive drug which is used in today’s society. The use of crack cocaine in Calgary is increasing at an unbelievable rate. This drug is used both by the usual lower class victims and those deemed by society to be “white collar”. It is used by millionaires, who, for some reason, have tried everything and wants a change from the “usual”. It is used by accountants, models, businesspeople, doctors, dentists, and the list goes on. Many of the statistics shared on the use of crack cocaine, from treatment centers situated across Canada.
